Job Summary

Responsibility for the entire Network security infrastructure for Union Bank. This role will involve the design, development, implementation, deployment and optimization of the infrastructure security via internal abilities and capacity as well as 3rd party suppliers. This multi-faceted position will also provide managerial direction and expertise in supplier management, SLA monitoring, resource planning, budgeting, failover & disaster recovery, capacity planning, network-related hardware/software upgrades and migration, training, and fault management. The Team Leader Network Rollout & Infrastructure security is also fully responsible for enforcing all Bank-wide network security policies and procedures designed to meet established goals and objectives.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for network Rollout and Infrastructure security design reviews, standardization, and optimization either directly or via 3rd Party support.
  • Provide field service and fast response callout ability, either using internal resources or via 3rd Party Network Providers / Operators to achieve defined and agreed Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) targets. Questionable, totally based on the approach
  • Create a strong, knowledgeable, and motivated team that would effectively achieve and surpass all agreed objectives. Ensure standards, controls and regulation are strictly complied with in all operational and service delivery activities.
  • Create and maintain schematics, and architectural and topological diagrams of the entire security architecture and ensure a Change Management procedure is adhered in case of design changes.
  • Encourage and mentor all Team Members to work for and obtain Professional Certifications to enhance their knowledge and career potential.
  • Develop and administer capacity-planning and tracking capabilities to ensure responsiveness to increases or
  • imbalances in workload or re-distribution of configurations necessary to optimize the secure network performance.
  • The Team Leader, Network Rollout & Infrastructure Security will develop, update, and manage the E-Network Rollout Infrastructure Security unit’s budget in line with the overall Network Enterprise budget. Provides defense and quarterly reviews for budgetary items and decisions that directly relate to the Network Rollout & Infrastructure Security.
  • Provides daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly Network Performance Reports giving clear, unambiguous views of Security Posture, and Network Response. Develop and administer policies and procedures for the Network Rollout and Infrastructure Unit including creating documentation, change control and quality control.
  • Ensure that all staff, either internal or 3rd party deal with requests, inquiries and complaints in a timely and courteous manner and provide regular updates on the progress of any issue or fault right through to resolution.
  • Constant interaction with other organizational departments to determine new and changed needs, support requests, expectations, and support reviews to assess performance and to ensure operations and goals are constantly in line with organizational needs and aspirations.
  • Define, implement, and enforce network security measures and ensure strict adherence in line with regulatory, industry, and organizational expectations. Proactively manage the regular test of security measures via arranged 3rd party penetration and vulnerability simulations. Further to detection, ensure all identified shortcomings are resolved or blocked within short resolution timeframes.
  • This role will consistently and proactively work with 3rd party suppliers, and equipment providers and outsource partners to achieve organizational objectives for Network Availability, Integration, Optimization, Responsiveness and Repair.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Good technology-related university degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or Numeric Science
  • Project Management Certification will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 10 years cognate IT and Enterprise Network and Security in a large to medium-sized bank/ financial institution.
  • Adequate knowledge of TCP/IP based networks.

  • Experience in developing Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans.
  • Experience in checkpoint, Cisco, Imperva, Archsight, DLP security solutions
  • Strong understanding of IP, TCP/IP, and other network administration protocols
  • Adequate knowledge of technical drawing programs such as MS Visio Technical
  • Ability to coordinate projects successfully
  • Organization and coordination skills
  • Experience in managing staff of 10 to 20 individuals
